WaveOptics is a world-leading designer and manufacturer of revolutionary Augmented Reality (AR) waveguides. With a growing global presence and capability as we scale to mass-manufacture of our technology, we are now looking for a Supply Chain Operations Manager to join our team
As part of a growing Operations team, you will define, restructure and implement systems and processes that support our continued growth.
You will manage;
- Supply Chain Planning – Strategy & Network Design
- Sales & Operational Planning (S&OP) – Demand & Forecasting
- Product/Project Delivery - Prototype & Production
- Inventory Management – Warehousing, Replenishment & Logistics
The role:
- Devise & implement the strategy for management of all operational areas ensuring the capability exists to deliver for the business
- Develop, implement and continuously support new systems and processes that encourage efficiency
- Ensure the development & maintenance of a robust and efficient supply chain minimizing risk whilst maximizing agility and delivery
- Create & develop a robust S&OP methodology based on input from the sales organization through both our contract manufacture and tier #2 supply base ensuring OTIF
- Manage the scheduling & delivery or prototype builds from ensuring incoming raw materials through to the shipping of finished goods
- Regular liaison with supplier ensuring deliverable are on track to meet mass production and prototype builds
- Monitor, control & report on inventory levels, trends & shortages whilst maintaining accurate stock figures & visibility across the business
- Collaborates with, and influences, key stakeholders to identify, align and execute strategic plans that deliver on efficiency
- Management of a dedicated small supply chain team ensuring all targets are met
What we like to see:
- Experience in an operational supply chain capacity
- Previous experience working within a fast-paced manufacturing company with exposure to an Asian supply base and/or high-end technologies
- Experience sourcing and delivering an S&OP system
- Previous experience developing & executing supply chain planning and S&OP
- Self-starter with the ability to prioritize & multitask
- Pro-active approach managing multiple internal & external stakeholders
- Strong analytical skills and excellent judgment managing risk/delivery
- High degree of flexibility and ability to respond to the challenges of a dynamic start-up environment
- Confident, articulate, and able to influence at all levels exhibiting exceptional leadership, communication & interpersonal skills
