Description

The program buyer works in close coordination between all Purchasing divisions & Program teams (Engineering, Business, manufacturing.

in order to support strategy for the best sourcing, to control application of the contract with suppliers during development, and prepare the best convergence for production.

These activities are related to a strong increase of Stellantis Software developments to support new initiatives.

MAIN ACTIVITIES:

  • Communicate and coordinate the strategies of the Purchasing commodity with the program, and ensure the strategy is optimized;
  • Contribute to the development of new products in order to ensure compliance with the project schedule, cost and quality
  • Support and participate in the development process of new models and new content of the program activities with the planning of sourcing activities and late modification management;
  • Ensure compliance with the conditions of execution of the supplier contract (in particular cost, time and production capacity, etc.
  • in the development, industrialization and / or mass production phase;
  • Contribute to define the cost targets for new models;
  • Support the plant in the industrial development phase;
  • Monitoring the vehicle cost and work with the commodity, R&D, Cost Engineering & supplier to achieve the program target;
  • Support to detect failing suppliers as early as possible and ensure the right level of reactivity and escalation to deal with these cases of failure;
  • Push and coordinate the Technical Cost Reduction process and Resourcing activity with the Purchasing managers in order to promote the technical savings and monitor the effective implementation;

The Program buyer must be able to manage a contract with big players such as for instance Qualcomm, Amazon, as to manage contracts with start-ups.

Main counterparties will be located worldwide, mainly in Europe & North America.

Profile:

  • Good Knowledge of Software development (cost of the development of a software, good reference for targeted costs, ideas for optimizations..)
  • knowledge / experience about panel of software suppliers
  • Legal Knowledge & / or experience of negotiation of intellectual property rights, licenses costs, liabilities, warranty terms
  • Excellent relationship management skills with the ability to manage key stakeholders and suppliers
  • Strong and confident negotiator with the ability to negotiate at all levels
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and influencing skills
  • Excellent analytical, open minded and problem solving abilities
  • Results oriented with ability to plan and deliver against project deadlines
  • Commercially and financially astute with experience of managing budgets
