Software Engineer (.NET Core)

Optima Dev Published: June 12, 2024
Bristol, United Kingdom
Job Type

I had the phrase Mid-level Developer, but I’d say this role falls in the Mid / Upper-Mid bracket.

You’ll probably have at least a few years’ experience under your belt already, but there’s a good chance you’ll be keeping your eye out for a new challenge.

With this role, you’ll find yourself focusing on all things Open Banking and Tech-Driven Payments an industry still in its infancy, but continuously pursuing technological developments.

You’ll be joining an established Dev team, looking at scaling their distributed architecture for real-time payments processing.

The core platform that’ll you be focusing on is written using .NET Core and C#, implementing both Kubernetes-based and serverless Microservices architectures.

You’ll find yourself surrounded by all things Azure, building scalable architecture with Containers and messaging frameworks.

It’s a start-up environment, so you’d need to be comfortable tackling problems on your own and wearing multiple hats.

Salary wise, they’ll pay £55,000-£65,000 DOE the package includes equity and health insurance plans.

It’s fully remote (if you want). They have an office in Central London if you fancied popping in, but they’re looking for the right people, not whoever lives the closest.

You’d need to be UK-based, and they can’t offer sponsorship).

The interview process :

  • An initial 30-min chat with their CEO.
  • This is followed by a paired-programming exercise, with one of their Senior Engineers.
  • Rounded up lastly, with a chat with their Head of Engineering.

If the role looks of interest, feel free to get in touch with Jack Leeming @ Optima Dev for a chat.
