The Stretchsense MoCap Pro Fidelity glove is a piece of ground-breaking motion capture technology that when combined with the Hand Engine software system is the premier hand tracking and motion capture solution in the world and is used by some of the biggest names in gaming and Visual Effects (VFX).
Thanks to continued growth they are increasing their team here in Edinburgh and are looking for Software Engineers to join on a permanent basis.
Stretchsense are on a mission to become the hands of virtual worlds. The sensor and smart garment technology they have developed over the past 10 years has proven the most effective, elegant, and comfortable solution in the market, and stands to make waves as mixed reality environments enter mainstream adoption they don’t just want people to experience virtual worlds, they want them to be a part of it.
THE TEAM
With a dedicated tight-knit team of around 50 people they cover garments, sensor fabrication, mechanical design, electronics, all forms of software, and data science.
At their facility in Penrose NZ, buckets of silicon become their signature stretch sensors, rolls of fabric become comfortable smart garments, and raw sensor data becomes high-fidelity digital motion.
THE ROLE
Working as part of a global development team, the successful Software Engineer will :
- Work on full lifecycle design, development and implementation of new features
- Engage with teams across the business from software through to embedded development and data science to deliver end-to-end solutions
- Drive a culture of best practice
Ideally, you’ll have commercial development knowledge of any of the following (or similar) :
Angular
Any additional exposure to ReactiveX / RZXJS, ThreeJS or Electron would be an advantage.
