Software Engineer

At Jungle we imagine a world where any products - vehicles, consumer electronics, consumer goods... - are affordable to everyone. To achieve that, we must bring the assembly costs of any product down to 1% of its total cost.

We are an online platform and marketplace that gathers hundreds of the world’s best and most ingenious robotics developers and system integrators that share our vision. We then match and connect them with product makers to enable autonomous factories for faster, cheap and flexible production.

To deliver this vision, Jungle is looking for full-time Software Engineers in Munich. We are looking across the stack and are open for candidates specialized in frontend; backend or fullstack.

Your Job Role And Responsibilities

• • You will work building the first marketplace for robotic technology
  • You will develop software to help robotic automation manufacturers list their capabilities and products; manufacturing companies match their robofacturing needs; and integrate all the key internal technologies in a great UX/UI that is a pleasure to use
  • You will work in a cross-functional team very closely with other developers, product owners, designers, robotics engineers, marketing specialists, etc.
  • Depending on your area of expertise and interest you will be working in different parts of the stack. Some of the technologies you might encounter are
    • Frontend React, NextJS, TailwindCSS, Material UI, Puppeteer, NPM
    • Backend Python, AWS, Lambdas, RDS, EventBridge, CloudWatch, Terraform, GitLab
  • Your time will be spent implementing features that improve the platform and help our customers find the right robotic automation solutions for them.

What You Bring

• Ability to clarify requirements and handle technical design, planning, development, testing and launch of services/features using technologies like the ones mentioned above (or similar).
• You have a thoughtful and mature approach to problem solving. You can deliver quality where it is due, but also can take more risk where there is the possibility.
• You are a good end-to-end owner of features/services. You own your code from requirements to troubleshooting in production and take feedback as a path to improve and learn.
• Understanding and commitment to continuous integration and delivery best practices using technologies like Gitlab, Terraform, or similar.
• For frontend candidates eye for design. You have a very detailed oriented mindset and can spot visual details other developers cannot. You obsess over pixel perfect implementations but can tune down your expectations when the priority is right.
• For backend candidates you have experience with some AWS services or similar cloud providers (e.g. Azure, Google Cloud Platform).

• Fluent in English (written and spoken).
