Agile Coach / Scrum Master (m / f / x)

Purpose of the function:

Daiichi Sankyo Europe is creating a Digital Innovation Hub to accelerate the development and scaling of digital solutions across our European organization.

The Digital Innovation Hub acts as an internal solution incubator and serves as a catalyst for Daiichi Sankyo Europe to deliver best-in-class customer experience for relevant digital content, solutions and services by knowing customers and their patient needs best.

The newly formed Advanced Analytics team is complementing the value of the Hub with Data Science and Data Engineering expertise, to get the most out of the data.

Join Daiichi Sankyo Europe as Agile Coach / Scrum Master and shape the future data-driven organization. You will be working as Agile Coach for the Digital Innovation Hub and acting as Scrum Master for the Advanced Analytics team.

You work with both project teams to analyze current systems and processes and support them in the adoption of agile best practices.

You guide teams to help them stay on track with agile techniques, fine-tuning approaches as needed to ensure customer centricity in everything we do.

You lead agile workshops for product and functional teams, as well as our management and key stakeholders. You promote and advocate a culture of continuous improvement, setting goals and milestones and being accountable for them and you drive cultural change by championing an agile mindset.

Roles and responsibilities:

  • Coach senior management in agile practices to ensure adoption of best practices from top-down
  • Effectively communicate agile principles, scrum practices and overall operating model across the organization and in product teams
  • Champion the use of metrics and other objective measures across teams
  • Undertake daily follow-ups with individual team members to ensure projects are on track and goals are being met and conduct all SCRUM meetings
  • Keep an objective perspective on issues and troubleshoots by applying agile principles
  • Hold stand-up meetings with cross-functional teams to review project status
  • Support teams in determining the resource allocation to maintain agile practices and ensure smooth project delivery

Personal skills and professional experience:

  • University degree
  • 5+ years of experience as an Agile Coach / Scrum Master
  • Experience not limited to software development teams only but also with business team (Kanban Focus)
  • Experience in Scrum, Kanban, and Scaled Agile Frameworks (SAFe)
  • Can showcase examples of implementing agile techniques in different cultures and environments
  • Experience running agile projects of varying size and complexity
  • Strong leader, educator, and coach
  • An excellent, experienced and empathic communicator and motivator
  • Courage and pragmatism in order to identify and help resolving impediments
  • Enthusiasm for the development in a company living the start-up spirit
  • Experience with international and multicultural teams
  • Fluent proficiency in English

Bonus points :

  • Previous work experience within the eHealth and/or digital healthcare sector and/or data science
  • Written and/or verbal communication skills in German
  • Experience in product management
