Description
Role : Social Media Manager
Heidi
Heidi was born to make it easy for more and more people to discover the power of the mountains.
- We burst onto the ski holiday market in 2018 (formally known as Ski Zoom) and have seen exponential growth.
The company came from a desire to fix the lack of flexibility in the winter ski market.
- We help skiers and mountain lovers discover resorts that are hidden gems alongside the classics, and our clever tech is helping them to do it in a way that suits them best.
- We're a youthful, challenger brand, with an awesome culture, and we're shaking up a very traditional ski / mountain holiday industry.
- We have huge ambitions for growth, and we are looking for someone who will be fundamental to the success of our vision and is excited to help us drive that forward.
The role
We are recruiting an experienced, creative and analytical Social Media Manager, with a deep understanding of social media channels and the differences between them.
Until now, as a fast-growing start-up, our social media has had a fairly light touch, so this is a huge opportunity to grab our social media with both hands, and really make your mark.
This is our first dedicated social media role, but it sits within a fun and creative content team that will work closely together to capitalize on ideas and skill across the team.
What you'll be doing?
- Own the social media strategy for our organic channels (which currently include Facebook, Instagram and TikTok) to significantly grow our following, and increase our reach and engagement.
- Generate a constant stream of content ideas and work with the wider team to ensure they fit well with the overall content plan for Heidi.
- This will include generating ideas yourself, collaborating with the wider team and by keeping on top of current trends in social media.
- Depending on your creative skillset, some of the content may be produced by you.
Where content production ideas are outside of your skillset, we have an internal video producer, graphic design resource and copywriter to support you.
In those instances you will be responsible for project managing the creative briefing process and ensure the timely delivery and implementation of assets.
Optimize the social media strategy with learnings from data and insight. This will include testing strategies for content, and other factors that will improve performance such as timing of posts, length etc.
This means that you need to also be confident using analytical tools to measure success and act on those results.
- Report and deliver against agreed KPIs on Daily, Weekly, Monthly and Yearly basis.
- Manage the social media community by responding to comments and messages.
What you will bring ?
Essential :
- Solid experience in social media strategy and content generation.
- Confident using data to evaluate and optimize social media content plans.
- A creative thinker, hungry to learn about new trends in content whilst brimming with your own ideas
Desirable :
- Experience as a skier or snowboarder yourself, so that your ideas are rooted in an authentic understanding of our customers needs.
- The ability to write social media posts in our brand & tone of voice.
- Graphic design or video editing skills using Adobe or Canva.
- Previous experience working with and evaluating the success of influencers.
- Experience in social media strategy for a lifestyle, travel or retail brand.
Why work with us?
- A competitive salary of 40k-45k depending on experience.
- 25 days annual leave + bank holidays + 4 me / wellbeing days.
- Flexible working : we're open to hybrid or office-based working.
- £1,000 Heidi holiday credit + additional holiday discounts.
- Vitality health insurance
- Enhanced parental leave
- A chance to build something great and work with a fantastic bunch of people.
We want to create an inclusive environment that celebrates the diversity of our people whilst enabling them to do the best work of their careers.
We are committed to ensuring that all our people processes are equitable.
All applicants will be considered for employment without attention to ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, family or parental status, national origin, veteran, neurodiversity status or disability status
