My client is a multicultural Crypto Currency startup in Berlin with operations just over 3 years old, their mission is to provide everyone with convenient access to Bitcoin because we believe in a world where Bitcoin is available to anyone, anywhere. Your Role

  • You manage our core infrastructure like CI systems, load balancers, and the machines that run our production stack
  • You develop tooling, alerts, monitoring, and address reliability risks including automatic problem detection and resolution
  • You collaborate software engineers to fix production issues and help us improve ongoing reliability
  • You support the software engineers in delivering high quality increments
  • You create and maintain documentation of our infrastructure
  • You are member of a cross-functional SCRUM team
  • You participate in an on-call rotation

Your Profile

  • You have 3+ years experience with managing a high traffic customer-facing website
  • You have Linux (Ubuntu/Debian) system administration skills and a profound understanding of TCP/IP and networking concepts (e.g. firewalls, load balancers, routing, DNS)
  • You have experience with container orchestration tools like Kubernetes or Docker Swarm
  • You have experience with configuration management tools like Puppet, Ansible or Chef
  • You have experience with monitoring solutions like Prometheus, Grafana or Zabbix
  • You quickly get into new technologies and you enjoy doing so
  • You work self-organized and always keep focus on what is most important at the moment
  • You enjoy working in a team
  • You have good communication skills in English
  • Experience with in software development especially with Ruby is a big plus
