Our R&D team also collaborates with Application Design and other departments to develop innovative and high-performance sound systems while ensuring reliability and durability under intensive and demanding use.

We are looking for a Signal Processing Engineer to join our Digital Signal Processing & Algorithms Department The team you will join You will be part of an expert team whose mission is to design and implement algorithms with best-in-class performance, unmatched reliability, and low latency for the entire range of L-Acoustics devices including amplified controllers, audio processors, and more multimedia products to come.

The technologies we are developing:

  • Advanced audio processing.
  • Efficient protection algorithms for both the loudspeakers and amplified controllers.
  • Real-time and applications running on MCU(s), DSP(s) and FPGA(s).

You will experience the mind-set of a start-up with the structure, tools, and impact of a global enterprise and market leader.

What you will contribute 

  • Design & specify innovative audio signal processing algorithms & advanced protection mechanisms.
  • Perform state of the art on innovative audio/acoustic topics.
  • Implement clean and efficient audio algorithms in Matlab.
  • Programming in C/C++ will be needed for prototyping and testing of audio algorithms.
  • Documentation of the proposed solution and the obtained results.
  • Implement automatic unitary & non-regression tests for the high-level developed algorithms.
  • Collaborate with other teams to maintain and expand libraries of audio DSP units shared across the company.
  • Support teams in the Electronics department and in the R&D in general, whenever a signal processing expertise is necessary.

What you will need to be successful

  • Master’s degree in electrical or computer engineering required
  • 5+ years of experience in audio DSP algorithm development, implementation and testing
  • Expert knowledge of the C/C++ programming language.
  • Expert knowledge of Code Development in Matlab
  • Excellent analytical skills, perseverance, and attention to detail.
  • Curious, eager to learn and quickly adapt to new requirements and technologies.
  • Autonomous with strong sense of responsibility.
  • Good spoken and written English.

Preferred skills

  • Max/MSP prototyping experience
  • Version control system (git)
  • Experience with Jenkins server
