The Company

I'm partnered with a heavily funded, tech for good, Series B scale up looking to add capable resource to an existing backend software engineering team.

The business builds software to aid their clients in evaluating carbon projects that capture, remove and avoid emissions.

The Role

We are looking for a Backend Python Software Engineer with experience delivering on the end to end development of data centric applications.

This is a greenfield project where you'll contribute too..

• Designing, building and maintaining backend systems in Python
• Sharing knowledge and work closely with technical and non-technical stakeholders through demos
• Contributing to the development of internal APIs
• Connect data sources to their data platform so that it can easily be consumed by our customer apps
• Automate the boring stuff and aiding other teams

Requirements:

• Experience building data centric backend systems in Python within a startup or scale up environment
• Ability to promote and implement coding best practices on the intersection of backend and data engineering
• Strong knowledge of SQL and ideally DBT and Snowflake
• Experience working with AWS and Terraform
