nello lets you upgrade your intercom phone and control it via the nello app. You get keyless entry into your apartment building and you will never miss a delivery anymore. Service providers can access your hallway and put their deliveries – parcels, groceries or food – right in front of your apartment door. Amazon Prime Now, Deliveroo, foodora, DPD and GLS are already compatible!
After obtaining funding from well-known investors and Kickstarter backers, we are excited to launch nello one in May 2017. We are a strong team with a proven track record and we are very exited about nello. Now we are looking for like-minded people to join our team.
YOUR ROLE
You will be responsible for several backend projects. Therefore you will work closely together with a head of backend engineering, app developer and firmware engineers. We definitely don’t expect you to be just coding, but to also actively participate in moving our company forward.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITES
- Monitor and improve communication between app and nello one via REST-API, push notifications and MQTT
- Build APIs to delivery companies, Airbnb and real estate companies
- Develop voice integrations for Amazon Echo, Google Voice and others
- Moving towards dockerization of our services
- Continuously improve the security of our IoT and cloud infrastructure
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
- At least 3 years of hands-on backend experience
- University degree in computer science or related fields of studies
- Strong skills in python3 environment
- Experience with flask micro-framework
- Experience with Linux and its command line
- Experience with AWS infrastructure
- Front-end experience with React is a big plus
- Eagerness to learn new technologies
- Entrepreneurial way of thinking and willingness to take on responsibility
- Fluency in English, German skills are a plus
