Description
Responsibilities :
- Analyse project specifications, tenders, and proposal requirements.
- Evaluate technology, make selections, and conduct economic assessments.
- Conduct studies for process configuration and optimization.
- Contribute to the development of design parameters and methodologies.
- Prepare discipline engineering analyses and solutions that are technically sound, safe, environmentally friendly, and cost-effective.
- Develop design basis and philosophy documents, including safeguarding, shutdown, relief & blowdown, and isolation.
- Create process descriptions, conduct process modelling and simulation, and develop PFDs and heat & material balances.
- Define MSD and material selection philosophy.
- Develop Process and Utility P&IDs, including selection of design conditions, hydraulic analysis, line sizing, and pipe specifications.
- Specify equipment sizing, including distillation tower design and tray sizing.
- Specify in-line instrumentation sizing and requirements.
- Summarize utilities and chemicals consumption.
- Conduct simulations and calculations.
- Provide support across all project activities, from engineering to start-up.
- Participate as a lead in safety, environmental, and operability reviews (HAZOP, HAZID, ENVID, SIL).
- Collaborate with other process engineering disciplines and design teams.
- Assist in the development of a process knowledge database for studies, projects, and / or operations.
- Design relief systems, including PSV sizing, flare hydraulics, and radiation analysis.
Desired Qualifications :
- BSc or MSc in Chemical Engineering with a diverse background.
- Theoretical understanding of process design methods and tools.
- Considerable knowledge in Oil & Gas Processing, Refining, and / or Ethylene / Petrochemicals.
- Experience leading teams.
- Technology awareness of Blue / Green Hydrogen & CCS.
- Proficient in engineering work processes, inter-discipline coordination, and change management.
- Familiarity with Industry Codes and Standards (API, ASTM, ASME, etc.).
- Proficiency in process simulation tools such as Hysys, PRO / II, PROMAX, Flarenet, Flaresim.
