Omega is partnering with an exciting, cutting-edge automotive technology startup that is pioneering groundbreaking suspension systems, working with some of the most recognised vehicle manufacturers worldwide, and undergoing exciting growth as they take their product into production.

They are commercialising the world's first proactive ride system designed to enhance the quality of time spent in motion.

They are now looking for a Senior Integration Test Engineer to work on their breakthrough active suspension system for cars.

As a member of the Vehicle Integration & Performance team, you will be supporting the FAS (Full Active Suspension) system integration into the OEM vehicle and sign off functional validation of the FAS system.

Responsibilities:

  • Support prototype vehicle commissioning and functional development of FAS-equipped Customer and Internal vehicles
  • Represent Vehicle Integration team whilst performing functional testing and debugging in-field’ with the Customer
  • Working alongside Hardware, Software & Controls teams to support the vehicle updates and innovation efforts for the FAS system
  • Authoring and executing vehicle-level FAS functional development tests
  • Supporting vehicle-level testing and debugging
  • Configuration management of vehicle specifications and version controlling
  • Support debugging, data logging and reporting any vehicle-level functional deficiencies or FAS system-level issues to core engineering teams

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

  • Degree-level qualification in Mechanical, Electrical or Software Engineering, or related technical field or equivalent in relevant engineering field
  • Minimum of 4 years experience in automotive OEM / Tier1 / Tier 2 in system integration or functional testing
  • Confident in vehicle-based testing set up and data logging
  • Understanding of robust testing methods and diligent approach to problem solving
  • Ability to communicate clearly in English and experience of having technical discussions with customers
  • Awareness of working with model-based systems and automotive software especially deploying to vehicles. Engineering tool set (MATLAB Simulink, Speedgoat system, dSpace MicroAutoBox and custom flashing and diagnostic tools)
  • Working knowledge of standard communication protocols (e.g. CAN, CAN FD, FlexRay)
  • Working knowledge of vehicle communication and debugging tool sets (e.g. CANalyzer, CANape, INCA etc.) with data logging and parameter calibration
  • Understanding of problem-solving methodologies e.g 6 Sigma / 8D and ability to follow test plans and processes robustly and diligently
  • Hands-on experience and ability to work with prototype vehicles
  • Full, UK driving licence
