Shipamax who?!
We are one of the few London-based startups backed by Y Combinator. We’ve just closed an exciting 2.5 million USD seed round - from Cherubic, AME Cloud and Founders Fund.
We’re on a mission is to fix the ship booking experience.
Shipamax is a data-driven platform for bulk shipping - replacing the thousands of unnecessary emails, excel files and instant messages between players required for each booking. We’re a vertical B2B startup working with family-owned shipowners to some of the largest global players to transform the way they work as a team.
The role
We are looking for an experienced Frontend Engineer to help us build the future of shipping technology.
We have terabytes of data that is processed in realtime and served up to our customers to help them make key business decisions. Building a front-end that can help users quickly access this data and update it on the fly is challenging and core to our competitive advantage. Users may access Shipamax via desktop or mobile - so we have to be pretty flexible. We’re already known in the industry for our simple, intuitive UX - you will be critical in helping us maintain this status as the product grows in complexity.
We’re a small team of 4 engineers (one frontend engineer/designer, two backend engineers and one data scientist / NLP expert) and one customer-facing teammate. Our small team of 5 represents 6 nationalities and 5 languages spoken 🙂
This full-time position is based in London, UK (Angel).
Skills
- You should have a degree in computer science, or strong experience (3-5 years) in deploying reliable front-end code.
- You should feel comfortable reviewing and deploying Javascript, React, node.js and CSS
- Our users rely on us to maintain the integrity of their data - so you must have experience in Algorithms & Data structures
- Our B2B customers expect Shipamax to be reliable - you should have experience with automated testing and continuous deployment
