Sales Manager, DACH

First Response Markets (Fire Department, Federal Police, DGzRS sales)

Germany, Austria or Polish boarder (Work from home)

Salary : €65,000-€75,000 base, c25% bonus, future equity

Airbotics Talent are working with a highly innovative Software startup that sells products into the German and Austrian First Response and Emergency Services.

As part of their international growth they are now looking to recruit a dedicated Sales Manager to oversee their business across the DACH (Germany, Austria, Switzerland) region.

Ideally candidates will be based in Germany, but those in Austria or on the Polish border may also be considered.

This role is a remote position, with the ability to work from home and travel to customers when required.

The Role

This role is critical in ensuring the continued year on year growth of the sales pipeline through Business Development and Marketing activity.

Whilst this role is very much hunter focused, our client has an existing customer based in Germany and the wider DACH region across core markets in emergency and first response ie.Fire brigade, federal police, DGzRS (fire, police, search & rescue etc).

You will be responsible for the full sales cycle (cradle to grave), from market mapping, lead generation, RFI, RFP, RFQ, negotiation and contract signature, both direct to customers and through distribution and partner channels.

This role will have significant customer contact, with performing demos and walking customers through features and benefits of the product a large part of the role.

This position is initially a standalone role but there are opportunities for progression and development to a leadership capacity.

The Person

The ideal candidate will have :

  • Experience selling products or services into the first response or public safety markets
  • A minimum of 3 years experience in a Business Development or Sales role
  • A "hunter" profile and be motivated to identify and secure new business
  • A track record of increasing sales through new customer acquisition
  • A degree is preferred but not essential
  • Flexibility to travel to customer locations with 40-60% travel anticipated
  • German and English language skills are essential
