Medicus is an AI-based platform that explains and interprets medical reports and health data, turning numbers into meaningful insights. Medicus works with healthcare companies to deliver smart features & insights to both doctors – in terms of smart testing & diagnosis support – and to patients in the form of visual & interactive reports, powering continuous healthcare & coaching across all digital platforms. Medicus is based in Vienna with offices in Berlin, Dubai, Paris & Beirut.

 

Your Responsibilities:

  • Provide solid scopes for new scientific Medicus features based on a “hypothesis – research – prototype – delivery – testing & validation – production” flow
  • Research and critical analysis of medical and scientific literature for these features, e.g. related to biological biomarkers and medical conditions related to pregnancy and postpartum
  • Identify, interpret, and break-down the medical guidelines and knowledge (e.g. regarding disease prevention, diet, activity, and hygiene during pregnancy and postpartum period)
  • Apply critical thinking to analyse contradictory information and formulate the best possible solution
  • Design, conduct and analyse research projects that investigate human health trends, diseases and methods of preventive care
  • Writing original papers for publication in peer-reviewed medical or scientific journals
  • Apply for funding from government agencies and private funding sources, by writing research grant proposals

Your Profile:

  • You have successfully finished a minimum of 5 years of studies in any medical biology related field, such as genetics, immunology, laboratory medical biology, molecular and cellular biology, or similar
  • You apply critical thinking by using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of available solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
  • Your excellent time management skills and solution-oriented mind-set allow you to excel at delivering projects of high quality on time
  • You embrace challenges joyfully, and approach them with a solution-oriented mind-set
  • You always stay up to date with clinical and professional developments and advances in the scientific/medical field by reading relevant scientific/medical literature and journals
  • You’re almost obsessive when it comes to lean task management, paying attention to details as well as setting up and following processes
  • You have excellent written and oral communication skills
  • You enjoy working in teams, to proactively network and forge links with collaborators
  • Your English is fluent (and the fluency in an additional language is a plus)
