The Regional Manager will be accountable for attaining sales forecast goals across all territories within their assigned region reporting to the Senior Director, National Field Team. They will provide motivational leadership to teams of newly built, high performing Key Account Managers in order to achieve and exceed performance objectives for Dompé’s first ophthalmic product based on rhNGF for patients suffering from neurotrophic keratitis. This is accomplished through effective coaching, appropriate utilization of resources and strong collaboration with key functions within Dompé. Solid organizational, analytical, problem solving, management and leadership skills are required. Disciplined risk-takers who thrive in an entrepreneurial environment is essential.The Region Manager will be accountable for abiding by the core values of our Dompé culture, which are: Integrity, Speed, Knowledge, Passion, Attention to Detail, Reliability, Flexibility and Teamwork.This position requires front line tactical execution with robust strategic skills. The appropriate candidates will be competent as a front line manager interfacing with Key Account Managers, cross functional partners and customers.

MAJOR DUTIES OF POSITION

  • Recruit and retain top performers in their respective regions
  • Set ambitious region goals and identify strategic business opportunities
  • Be an expert in the clinical data and be able to provide direction for its use
  • Acquires, analyzes and shares market and competitive intelligence with marketing and sales teams, as well as with senior leaders to capitalize on market trends and developments. Perform quarterly business reviews and provide leadership and strategic direction to the team
  • Work collaboratively with other internal partners, serves as a resource within the region and leverage the expertise of others Creates, builds and maintains relationships with Key Opinion Leaders
  • Work with Key Account Managers in region on a consistent basis, providing them with coaching and feedback
  • Assists in the implementation of incentive compensation plans for the Key Account Team
  • Exercises judgment, integrity and equitable management practices necessary to guide the day-to-day activities of a diverse cross-section of individuals

  • Work with Key Account Managers in region on a consistent basis, providing them with coaching and feedback
  • Develops business plan for assigned geographic area and implements national sales strategies and programs:

- Understands market dynamics, business drivers and corporate goals - Sets short and long-term objectives - Provides metric analysis to determine trends and performance - Tracks progress of Marketing Messages and Programs - Manages budget effectively—align resources appropriately

Requirements

  • Minimum: Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree in the Healthcare field a plus
  • Product launch experience
  • Prior work with orphan disease and / or specialty markets
  • 7+ years of previous experience in Pharmaceutical/Biotech Marketing, Sales, Commercial Training and Operations

Strongly Preferred Skills

  • 3+ years of successful management experience with strong skills in leadership, coaching and developing talent
  • Contacts and relationships with Key Opinion Leaders in Ophthalmology space
  • Incentive compensation management
  • Strong strategic planning and organizational skills
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales targets
  • Ability articulate clinical concepts, data and conclusions
  • Experience at a start up
