Your Role

The Power Electronics Engineer (d/f/m) will be responsible for the design of the power electronics in innovative automotive traction inverters. You will be part of the advanced engineering inverter team that work on innovative technologies in the field of power electronics.

Your main tasks are:

  • Design, calculation and simulation of the power electronics for innovative traction inverter Integration of innovative technologies in the field of power electronics into the inverter platform
  • Technology scouting for innovative technologies in the field of power electronics in cooperation with the respective departments and industrial partners
  • Maturity increase of innovative technologies in the field of power electronics
  • Definition and planning of tests for assessing innovative technologies
  • Start-up and carrying out tests of power electronics as well as root cause analysis and corrective measure implementation in case of test failures
  • Execution of feasibility studies in the field of power electronics
  • Modelling of power semiconductors and electronics of inverters
  • Development of scalable tools and methods for the design of automotive traction inverters

Your Profile

Higher technical education (university degree in electrical engineering or mechatronics) Knowledge of Power Electronics Experience with simulation and development tools e.g. Matlab, Plecs, LTSpice, Altium Problem solving skills ("Getting the things done") self-motivated, structured, analytical Good communication and presentations skills Language skills (English, German)
