Sourcefabric builds digital, open source newsrooms for some of the world's most innovative news organisations, in some of the most challenging media environments. This is your chance to join the team and help us write better software that others will benefit from.

You will be a key member of the Quality Assurance team. We are an international, friendly and enthusiastic team. We love open source and have years of experience contributing to it.

Ideally, you're located in Prague and you have a valid work permit. If you are located in a different European country, however, you can still send us your application.

Your Duties

  • Testing our full range of professional tools for journalists and client implementations

  • Running builds in our Continuous Integration environment

  • Taking part in sprint meetings as part of our Agile process

  • Working with Product Owners/Managers on defining acceptance criteria

  • Filling in new test cases

  • Writing automated tests

  • Troubleshooting

  • Bug-triaging

Required Skills

  • First and foremost, you care about quality

  • You have experience testing web applications

  • You have a good understanding of web technologies

  • You can identify, define and document test cases

  • You have experience working in a development environment

  • You understand the software development cycle and all that it means

  • You speak fluent English

Additional Skills

  • Experience working with Javascript tools and frameworks is a big plus

  • Knowledge and experience in server-side languages like Python is also a big plus

  • Experience working with and testing mobile apps

  • Most importantly, you are eager to learn and share
