    Role Overview

    The Projects Assistant will support the Berlin-based partnerships team in carrying out everyday activities that facilitate the smooth-running of bespoke events that Apolitical designs with and for our partners. 

     

    Role Responsibilities

    • Manage internal business processes, such as maintaining databases of key contacts and organising colleagues’ participation in events
    • Support the logistical planning of international conferences and evening events such as organising travel plans, catering, key event communication and tracking participants
    • Facilitating groups at events
    • Research key areas of interest and experts in the field for event proposals
    • Compile data and analytics for quarterly partner reports 
    • Develop and update media lists and prepare media pitches
    • Manage relationships with external stakeholders 
    • Communicate with senior members of government and the third sector
    • Write grant progress reports for donors
    • Use online tools to graphic design company marketing materials
    • Copy edit and proofread proposals, marketing materials and presentations
    • Offer business support to colleagues with attendance at key events, such as calendar management, research and speech writing
    • Take on other duties as requested

     

    Role Requirements

    • Highly organised and methodical self-starter who has an excellent eye for detail 
    • Up to 3 years experience working in a start up or other dynamic and fast-paced work place
    • Interest in public policy, systems change, and social business
    • Keen sense of the news/news cycles
    • Previous experience working on high-level events and conferences
    • Fluent in English, any further languages a plus
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
    • Able to work autonomously and take initiative, offering up suggestions to improve practices or systems where needed
    • Able to balance competing priorities and multiple projects and manage time effectively
    • Good familiarity with Microsoft Office and GSuite
    • Visual communications skills a plus
