Your mission Sarcura, an innovative start-up located at the xista science park in Klosterneuburg, is revolutionizing the manufacturing of cell therapies through automation and miniaturization using cutting-edge silicon technologies integrated in microfluidic cartridges. As a member of the Technology Development team, you will lead the fluidic development of the silicon chip and supporting structures.
In this role, your responsibilities include
- Designing macro-/microfluidic and/or semiconductor-based components, creating prototypes, and conducting thorough performance testing.
- You will also evaluate the functional performance, analyze data, perform failure analysis, and ensure accurate documentation.
- As the project lead, you will plan, report progress, manage the project's budget and timeline, and coordinate with an interdisciplinary team of internal and external engineers.

Your profile
Required qualifications for this position include: MS or PhD in microtechnology, materials science, biomedical, mechanical engineering or a relevant field and typically 6yr+ (MS) or 3yr+ (PhD) years of work experience with microfluidic components Demonstrate track record in designing, prototyping, and characterization of microfluidic components Experience in leading technical complex and interdisciplinary development projects or project parts Proficiency in CAD and CFD software, simulation tools (ANSYS), as well as practical knowledge of various manufacturing techniques for microfluidics
Outstanding communication skills, both oral and written and ability to understand requirements from various disciplines like mechanics, material science, cell biology, etc. Experience in data analysis tools (Phyton, MATLAB,..) Experience in working with living cells, Life Science or GMP applications, optical measurements, or MEMS is preferred but not mandatory.
