Our client is a pioneering developer and operator of Solar projects with a mission to change the world through solar technology and investment.
With operations in multiple countries and over 1.5 GW of active projects in the development pipeline, my client is at the forefront of the solar industry, producing over 150,000 MWh of clean electricity.
Location : Remote (United Kingdom) Travel required
The Role:
- My client seeks a programme manager to lead the UK development and construction team.
- Manage all land, planning, and grid matters for new projects in the UK.
- You would also oversee the on-site construction of projects from Notice To Proceed Commercial Operation Date.
Requirements Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in Project Development, Construction or Management.
- A minimum of an undergraduate degree in a related field
- Willingness to travel
- Top communication and presentation skills
- Strong verbal & written communication skills
- Leadership experience
Responsibilities:
- Leading the development of utility-scale PV and BESS portfolio from inception through to project closeout.
- Managing contracts, including the management of the site-based supervisory teams,
- Managing project budget, risk management, health and safety, and quality.
- Review grid, land, and planning issues for potential sites.
- Work with a designer to prepare preliminary layout designs for sites identified.
- Work with a designer to use the PVSyst tool to assess the solar resources available at the site.
- Ability to use the Monday.com tool to keep track of all potential opportunities.
- Work with law firms to put in place Head of Terms and Options for Leases for appropriate sites.
- Understand differences in substation configurations and provide value-driven decisions to various internal stakeholders.
- Familiarity with substation telecommunications and SCADA
