Howbout is a closed-network social platform that focuses on connections, not creators. It harnesses the social power of the calendar, and combines it with friends, chats & plans.

It’s the easiest way to get friends together.

What’s our mission?

We’re on a mission to build the easiest way to get friends together. We’re growing fast and have big short-term goals : 1+ million downloads, become the go-to way to get friends together in the UK and then scale internationally.

After an awesome start, we’re looking for an ambitious go-getter who wants to join our existing team of six on this journey.

What’s the role?

We’re looking for an excellent product designer to help us continue building the ultimate social planning app. You’ll be taking the lead on all things product design and user experience, helping to shape and direct new features as well as refining existing parts of the app.

You’ll be reporting directly to our CEO and, given our early stage, your work will play a key role in driving the company’s next stage of growth.

What will you be doing?

  • Helping shape the product roadmap, both short-term and long-term
  • Championing user-centric design thinking across the whole company
  • Researching how our users are using the app and feeding this back into the design process
  • Identifying opportunities for enhancing the user experience through refined design or new features
  • Delivering and steering designs from concept to implementation : from the top level UX flows down to the high-quality UI designs
  • Working closely with the developers to implement your designs and get them out to users
