we are currently seeking Process Operators to join our highly successful manufacturing team.Working on a 3 shift system Sunday – Friday 10pm-6am, 6am–2pm, 2pm–10pm Duties include the preparation and loading of components onto the production line in accordance with prescribed procedures and timings. This is a physically demanding role in a fast paced environment therefore the successful candidate must be highly motivated, be able to work using precise/accurate methods at a fast pace with an ability to learn new concepts quickly. This is a twenty four hours operation and you must have a flexible approach to working.
The right candidate must have a minimum of 2 years’ masterbatch extrusion experience, working with LDPE, HDPE, PP, PS, ABS and NYLON. Successful candidates will possess good numeracy, literacy, communication skills and a good eye for detail. We expect the right candidate to possess secondary education passes grade C and above in Maths and English as a minimum.
Key Duties and responsibilities
Maximise productivity from all process equipment by minimising downtime and waste.
Ensure that the production plan is achieved.
Maintain a safe working environment.
Maintain a high standard of housekeeping and plant cleanliness.
Monitor, control and record information on all paper and electronic systems.
Ensure that machines are operated to the specified conditions as defined in the job sheet.
Ensure that sampling and QC requirements are met at all times.
Ensure that packaging and labelling specifications are adhered to at all times.
Clean down extruders and ancillary equipment to the required specification.
Undertake any training courses deemed to be necessary to improve skills and abilities.
Assist other team members when required.
Undertake any other duties that may reasonably be requested.
