Principal Software/Platform Engineer

Having just secured Series-A funding, this AI / ML start-up is looking to double their headcount and triple their revenue this year

To help support this growth, they're looking for a Lead / Principal Platform Engineer from a strong development background, ideally in Python.

In this role, you'll work closely with their VP Engineering and take ownership of their Platform Engineering function.

As the company grows, you'll progress into a Team Lead later down the line, but will retain hands-on aspect for the foreseeable future.

Location : Liverpool Street - 2 office days / week

Salary : up to £115k + generous equity

Must have requirements :

• Software engineering background - you don't need to be a fully fledged developer, but do need to be handy with code and able to build automation tools (we use Python, but any language is fine)
• Extensive experience with AWS, K8s, Terraform
• Experience designing, building and maintaining observability tooling and CI / CD pipelines
• Understanding of Security, Networking and Databases

Bonus points for :

• Having worked as a software engineer before shifting your focus to Platform Engineering
• Having worked in Data-heavy environments, managing Data infrastructure and pipelines
• Having worked in a small but growing start-up environment, ideally as a sole Platform / DevOps Engineer
• Having participated in Data migration projects and Database re-architecture
