Principal Software Engineer London / WfH to £90k Principal Software Engineer / Developer (Java JVM Node Go TypeScript React) Hybrid WfH.

As a Principal Software Engineer you will collaborate with the CTO as the first Software Engineer in the business to design and develop the PoC of the core product a technology platform that enables large corporate clients to discover, analyze and manage their carbon emissions, enabling them to reach Net Zero targets.
- You'll be architecting, designing and developing the platform from scratch with a focus on backend applications and Cloud infrastructure, using the right tool for the job and will have a great deal of influence on the technology choices going forward.
They have secure funding including government backing; this is a great time to get on board as a founding member and receive significant equity.
- You'll be highly influential and will in time progress to Head of Engineering.
- Following a remote interview process you'll join a small team in London offices 2 days a week with the other 3 work from home.
Requirements :
- You have strong software engineering skills across the full technology stack (weighted towards backend)
- You have experience with a range of technology e.g. Java, Node, Go, TypeScript, React
- You have experience with AWS or other cloud providers
- You have a good knowledge of IaC (Infrastructure as Code) and associated technologies e.g. Terraform
- You have experience of dealing with semi-structured / unstructured data and integrations with external data sources
