Zenjob is looking for an experienced PR & Communications Lead to drive storytelling about our brand and create buzz around our services for B2B and B2C customers. Zenjob has huge ambitions to re-invent flexible work across Europe as the next generation in temporary staffing. Through tech we dramatically simplify and improve the experience both for our temp workers: our “talent”, and the companies where they work, our customers.

The Marketing team is responsible for driving acquisition, engagement and retention both for talent and companies, as well as establishing the Zenjob brand as the marketplace leader. As PR Manager you will lead setting our PR & Comms strategy, build the capability, and deliver results. This is a critical role to build our growth engine market by market, and also includes supporting internal communications. This role directly reports to Zenjob’s Marketing Director.

How you’ll contribute

  • Own and drive Zenjob’s communication strategy across Germany and Europe, including B2C, B2B, investor, internal, and public affairs communications
  • Work with the Brand team and external PR agencies to plan and implement our communications program including unpaid media initiatives and campaigns
  • Develop compelling stories and topics to place Zenjob in the German media landscape as a relevant player
  • Use classical press releases but also innovative content marketing techniques to spread the word
  • You write and publish content that inspires journalists, customers and retailers alike - prepare for target groups and always with the ideal brand in focus
  • Translate and share key global announcements with the German media as needed
  • Own and proactively maintain the Zenjob communications calendar, including company initiatives, industry events, public affairs, opportunities, relevant editorial lists, sponsorships, awards and submission deadlines
  • You maintain your network of industry insiders and journalists from the areas of start-ups, business and consumer issues with care and continuously expand it
  • Support our managing directors and colleagues in finding the right words in press interviews and statements
  • Coordinate and support key internal communications topics
  • Monitor, evaluate and continuously improve coverage in the press and across social channels, ensuring the relevant messages are getting through

What you bring

  • 4-6+ years of experience working in communications and media relations, preferably in the media, marketplace/start-up/recruitment or recruiting category
  • Proven record of pitching and securing consumer and business press
  • Proven experience of improving the effectiveness of PR through solid metric tracking
  • Fluency in both English and German
  • Highly organised, great attention to detail and ability to ruthlessly prioritise
  • Outstanding interpersonal and team skills with a track record of developing positive working relationships
  • Relevant work experience in a fast-paced growth environment
