Launched in 2017, it is currently at $6M ARR, growing more than 8 % MoM. 1,800 companies from 80+ countries, including Notion, Lemonade, Bayer, and KPMG use Lokalise to constantly update old and add new translations.
Previously bootstrapped, we decided to raise external capital to hire top SaaS talent globally in order to accelerate growth. The company went fully-remote in March, 2020, and raised $6M from a group of reputable VCs and angel investors in September, 2020. One month later, Lokalise was included in the top 100 European cloud tech companies under $1 Bn by Accel.

We are looking for a Platform Team Lead who will work with an efficient team of senior engineers. The team ensures high availability and growth of the Lokalise platform by leading platform decisions, designing, implementing modern cloud solutions, and DevOps tooling.
You will:
- Lead and grow a distributed Platform team through recruitment, onboarding, and mentoring (4-8 team members)
- Work alongside the Product Owner, Solution Architects, SRE engineers, and DevOps engineers to deliver on the roadmap
- Produce, review, and enforce best practices for Cloud development
- Help to design IaC and automation workflows
- Lead a migration project to AWS
- Participate in architecture, support, development, and other operations within the team
- Work in a team together with other team leads and help improve Engineering department processes and documentation
- Ensure the successful completion of your team’s tasks according to the roadmap using a Scrum workflow
You must have:
- 3+ years of experience leading a team of Platform engineers
- A people-oriented mindset and embody the values of servant leadership
- A knack for teamwork and the ability to create and maintain a positive team culture
- Experience in the feature delivery process: organization, measurement, and optimization
- In-depth knowledge and experience of Agile processes and principles
- Solid knowledge of Linux operating systems
- Good knowledge of AWS service offerings in a broad range of areas
- An understanding of main architecture patterns like SOA and/or microservices
- Experience with modern DevOps and Quality Assurance practices
- Proven experience with modern security approaches
- Excellent English verbal and writing skills (native or near-native speaker)
It will be considered a significant advantage if you have:
- Experience of building and maintaining Kubernetes clusters
- Worked with modern monitoring systems like Prometheus/Grafana
- Developed infrastructure as code using Terraform, Ansible, or similar tools
- Developed and maintained container-based and/or serverless solutions
- Familiarity with database architecture patterns and their application in MySQL
- Broad knowledge of popular data stores like Redis, MongoDB, and ElasticSearch
