Following several fantastic years; within which we have significantly grown our headcount, our client book, our market presence and our trophy cabinet with all of the industry awards that we have won, we are currently recruiting for 2 Consulting Actuary positions. These roles can be assigned to our London or Manchester offices, although we will be flexible and accommodating when it comes to working remotely. It is also important to note that we can be accommodating in regards to part time working arrangements!

A summary of the role is as follows:

  • Developing Buck’s corporate consulting practice by providing significant contribution to new business development, attending meetings with prospects and development of tools and marketing collateral;
  • Providing actuarial advice and consulting services to corporate clients
  • Advising clients on matters affecting the funding of their pension schemes, including statutory and reporting figures
  • Advising clients on non-actuarial issues, including legislative changes, affecting the operation of their schemes
  • Preparation and presentation of materials for new business/existing client pitches
  • Dealing with internal actuarial and general pensions queries from consultants and actuarial staff
  • Dealing with clients’ queries regarding the operation of their pension arrangements including funding, asset allocation and legislative changes
  • Attending client meetings
  • Speaking at marketing seminars
  • Peer reviewing and ensuring own work is peer reviewed as appropriate
  • Maintaining accurate time recording and charging to clients where applicable
