Our client is looking for a key contributor to manage the expanding global payment operations team. The role oversees the global banking and card networks' operations as well as leading a team of payments specialists.

 

The Role

 

They are looking for someone to assume a high level of ownership, be a self-starter, analytically minded with a strong focus on detail and committed to high quality deliverables. The ideal candidate will be expected to be pivotal in improving the current processes, systems, and reporting. The ideal candidate needs to thrive in a fast-paced environment, be a problem solver, and have experience with working with cross-functional teams.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Partner with the PMs to drive innovation and constantly improve the user experience
  • Manage and develop an expanding team to operate 24x7x365 financial support and payments system processes
  • Partner with Engineering to lead auth rate optimization opportunities
  • Maintain knowledge of industry best practices, trends, and performance benchmark
  • Support launches of new payment options and partner onboarding. Liaising with the Implementation and Banking manager is key
  • Managing the Chargebacks Team and processing all disputes whilst liaising with the card networks to resolve
  • Manage and accrue for all partners and client incentives/rebates/bonuses as part of our global payments processing incentive programs
  • Administration of all credit configurations while obtaining relevant approvals internally to process
  • Contribute requirements and insight to create world class products and processes to operate a global online payment platform
  • Identify operational gaps in new offerings and set operational requirements for new project
  • Processing of all operational payments, manual and automated
  • Processing of all settlement and authorization exceptions in a timely manner across all banking and issuer partners
  • Key role in a number of deliverables within the month-end process in terms of management accounts delivery
  • Liaise with the internal auditor around regular assessment of the operational finance processes
  • Performing ad hoc financial analyses as requested
  • Keep central updated documentation repository of all reconciliation processes, internal procedures and financial risk register

 

Requirements         

                                                                                                                                       

  • 3+ years’ experience in a similar role. Experience with either a payments processor, issuing bank and/or fintech payments company is strongly preferred
  • Strong project management and execution focus extremely organized and effective at time management
  • Ability to prioritize critical work and manage expectations, deal with interruptions, and meet deadlines in a fast paced and growth orientated environment
  • Strong quantitative and bank analytical experience and financial modelling skills
  • Strong Microsoft Excel financial modelling and database (MySQL) skills
  • Strong work ethic, good judgment, initiative and attention to detail
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in a quantitative discipline such as Accounting or Finance
  • Ability to understand how the business operates and the upstream and downstream activities that impact and are impacted by the operational Finance team
  • Strong research, critical thinking, problem-solving skills and analytical skills
  • Experience working with B2C technology, fintech, and/or payment services business is considered advantageous
  • The ability to represent the company and brand excellently
