Anthemis is seeking an enthusiastic and capable paralegal to join our legal and compliance team.

In this role, you will be an integral part of the legal team, helping co-ordinate and organise the legal team and across departments, providing general support to the legal team in all stages of private funds, from fund formation and the closing process to portfolio investments and transactions, compliance and corporate governance.

Responsibilities of the role include : Assist with reviewing NDAs for prospective investors Assist with tracking the onboarding of investors during the fundraising process Assist as required with fund formation and investment transactions Support with due diligence for potential investors Assist with regulatory filings Contributing to the coordination of practice group training events, practice development initiatives, and business development efforts Maintaining the institutional memory of several leading global private funds clients Researching topics such as market trends, legislative developments, legal precedents, and other matters relating to private funds Preparing and maintaining documentation for formation of corporate entities and coordinating filings with corporate service providers Developing and periodically updating content for internal electronic resources, including practice group know-how and databases Support compliance matters including AML and ABC checks as required Assist with options and carried interest within the group Assist with miscellaneous requests from portfolio companies time to time and special projects as they arise Requirements Anthemis is a highly innovate organisation and the legal team is constantly faced with new and unusual challenges.

You should be prepared to roll up your sleeves and get stuck in anywhere as the need arises.

You should be comfortable supporting the needs of a growing team and representing the legal team collaboratively across the business.

The legal team is an extremely busy department with a flat structure so you will be expected to be a self-starter, comfortable with a "hands-on" approach and balancing multiple, competing priorities and workstreams.

Qualifications and experience A paralegal qualification or an LLB 5 years of corporate experience in a law firm or in-house legal department.

Venture capital or private equity experience is a plus.
