But we also need someone to go out, find and engage with new companies and see whether they are a good fit for our growing portfolio.

That’s where you come in: the spectrum of your tasks ranges from market research and the creation of reports to lead generation through outbound activities, to qualification and assessment of potential acquisition targets, to handling communications with founders in the early stages of the funnel, to driving special projects and brand building initiatives forward.

In addition, you will build and foster strong, long-lasting relationships with SaaS founders to ensure the long-term success of our M&A process. Your responsibilities

Research: You’ll conduct in-depth market research to identify promising SaaS companies in certain segments/industries/geographies
Sourcing: You’ll actively seek new acquisition opportunities through email outreach, cold calling, networking, social media and other channels and build a high-quality pipeline for continuous lead generation
Assessment: You’ll qualify existing leads and take care of the deal initiation process. This involves talking to founders, testing their products and analyzing company information you get like financials & KPIs
Operations: You will handle communications with SaaS founders in the early stages of our funnel, work on establishing long-term relationships with the founders, and maintain existing relationships with SaaS companies in our CRM
Special projects: You’ll support us with special projects (e.g. brand building and development of market presence, internal tools, process automation, new services)

What you bring to the table

You have an entrepreneurial mindset and a passion for technology/software companies. Extra points if you already have relevant experience within the tech startup ecosystem (be it as a startup employee/founder or on the investment side at a VC/PE firm)
You are a fast learner, have an ambitious personality with a high level of initiative and great analytical skills
You are well organized, you know how to prioritize tasks, and you get things done
You are fluent in English and have excellent communication skills, paired with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to pitch persuasively
You feel comfortable working in a remote-first setup
