
Description
We're currently hiring an Operations Manager for an early stage consumer start-up company based in London, with hybrid working.
This business has grown organically, are profitable and have experienced triple digit growth over the last two years.
This will be the company's first Operations hire, joining a team of 3 people, working out of an office in South West London.
Working closely with the two founders, this person will be responsible for establishing and implementing the processes that will enable the business to scale, whilst overseeing the management of all orders and global fulfilment.
Key Responsibilities
CRM Management :
- Ensure all website products are accurately listed on CRM software.
Order Management :
- Monitor the CRM closely for new orders.
- Promptly send purchase orders (PO) to manufacturers.
- Order stock and ensure timely delivery to manufacturers.
- Regularly check on the status of orders to ensure timelines are met.
- Provide clients with tracking information and ensure items are delivered as scheduled.
Order Calendar Management :
- Maintain an up-to-date order calendar, including dispatch dates and other key milestones.
- Proactively follow up with suppliers as production timelines approach.
Courier and Product Issue Management :
- Handle any issues with couriers to ensure timely delivery.
- Manage any product-related issues, including raising complaints and finding solutions.
- Collaborate with directors for assistance when necessary and keep clients informed of any developments.
Cross-Functional Leadership :
- Collaborate with all team members to ensure effective communication and deliver exceptional service to our customers.
- Focus on customer retention by exceeding expectations.
Vendor Management :
- Foster relationships with key suppliers and establish processes to ensure smooth order handling from start to finish.
The ideal candidate :
- Proven experience in operations management.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills with the ability to multitask effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with clients, suppliers, and team members.
- Proficiency in using order management and CRM software.
- Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Salary up to £40,000.
