Office Manager Start : end of August 2022

Location : South Cambridge then North Cambridge by the end of the January 2023

Hours : 9-5pm Monday to Friday

Office-based Salary : £35-£40k

We are looking for an enthusiastic and professional Office Manager currently based out of offices in Sawston. Towards the end of 2022 the company will be relocating to North Cambridge.

This is a rapidly expanding team with the opportunity to join at an early stage and help shape our fast moving organization as it grows.

Duties :

What you will do :

Human resources administration and liaising with external HR consultant

* Involvement in setting up new premises - liaising with solicitors, letting agents etc

* Creating a company manual for all staff to use

* Liaising with external suppliers, setting up contacts and implementing new systems and practices

* Invoice management and use of the finance system Xero & HSBCnet

* Arranging meetings, travel and dealing with visitors

* Being an advocate for improving staff morale - organizing regular staff events and lunches

* Line management of Procurement and Inventory Controller

* Supporting the CEO and senior leadership team on a daily basis

* Handling personal and confidential information appropriately

* Being ready and willing to take on any ad hoc tasks, which arise often when working for a start-up

* Assisting with recruitment and onboarding new staff

* Maintaining the office and equipment - servicing and maintenance

* First Aider

A minimum of :

* 3 years experience as an Office Manager

* Previous office-based, secretarial or customer-facing work experience is essential

* Having experience working in a start-up environment would be advantageous

* Experience of human resources best practices

* Good computer knowledge and ability to quickly adapt to new software

* Good interpersonal and time management skills

* Involvement in end to end acquisition of new premises

* IT skills are a given* Loves problem solving

* Not afraid to take the initiative
