Overview / Responsibilities

Wood is looking for an Engineer with a Bachelor or Master Degree in Electrical Engineering, who will be included in the Automation and Electrical team of the Life Sciences & Pharmaceuticals group.

Your initial duties, supported by a Tutor, will be:

  • Understand Client's technical requirements.
  • Develop electrical system studies, specifications, calculations and datasheets.
  • Develop the design documentation for the Building Automation & Low Current Systems (e.g. HVAC controls, Fire&Gas Systems, access controls, data networks and so on)
  • Support the technical and economical evaluation of Electrical and Building Automation Suppliers' bids.
  • Monitor the progress of the Suppliers and check their design.
  • Take part in the Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT's) at Suppliers' premises.
  • Follow up Electrical & Building Automation construction and start-up activities at Client's site.

Skills / Qualifications

  • Bachelor or Master Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Fluent English
  • Fluent in Italian
  • Good German possibly
  • Strong attitude to team working
  • Highly motivated, well organized, resourceful and proactive
  • Available to assignments at Client's site or in other Life Sciences offices (Basel, Philadelphia, Melbourne)
