Junior Windows Software Developer

We are delighted to partner with a growing start-up that is seeking a Junior Software Developer to join its growing development team.

We’re looking for a talented software developer who can seamlessly integrate into the team and assist in various aspects of the development process, from design to development to testing.

This Junior role offers opportunities for growth within the organisation.

Responsibilities will include :

• Supporting a Senior Developer across all aspects of the software development lifecycle.
• Working independently on implementing new functionality.
• Performing accurate and complete pre-release testing to help ensure the quality of software outputs.

Key skills and experience :

• Delivery of multiple desktop applications using C# / .NET on Windows.
• C#, .NET Framework, WinForms, DevExpress, WinUI3, Avalonia, MAUI, Windows API, Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF), Windows Communication Foundation (WCF), MSI installers (e.g. WiX), Mono, NUnit.
• Strong software development background (to degree level).
• Good understanding of software testing, QA principles, tools, and methodologies; and willingness to undertake software testing.
• Experience with source control (e.g. Git) and hosting services (e.g. GitHub, Visual Studio Team Services).
• Demonstrable proficiency in debugging and bug fixing.
• Ability to deliver small software projects to a defined specification.
• At least 1 year of experience in a software development role.
