*** This is an office based role , you must be able to commute to and work in the City of London as a norm*** IT Manager – Reporting to the Head of Infrastructure Archax has reached a growth point in its development and an opportunity has arisen for an IT Manager to join the team. The individual will bring exceptional experience supporting a wide variety of systems and technologies preferably from a capital markets environment.
The successful applicant will also have worked in an environment where internal developers have built internal real time market data/trading software. The individual will provide a senior technology support function and ongoing project-based engineering work across the technology estate, including desktops, severs, networking and applications, both off the shelf and bespoke. In addition, the individual will support the Platform Engineering Team with management and maintenance of a large and complex Amazon AWS environment. The team is growing but currently consists of 2 FTE.
Applicants will have an engineering background, be ambitious, bright, motivated and have substantial experience in a highly technical role. They will also be comfortable gaining and maintain professional qualifications. They will also understand the workload involved in working in a fast-paced capital markets-oriented startup. In addition to their technical ability, they will also be a subject matter expert within the capital markets space, understanding the full capital markets lifecycle of multiple asset classes with ideally exposure to WEB3 and Crypto.
Archax is a highly regulated fintech scale-up so experience of working in a rapidly evolving fluid company is vital. The successful applicant must have experience in a firm that has delivered product to external customers.
Key Accountabilities:
- 10 years + experience as a Technical Support Engineer/Application Support Analyst/IT Manager
- Line management responsibility of two staff members
- Ownership (including hands on delivery) of all infrastructure projects
- Support/delivery/management of all business systems and technologies
- Management of the end user and end client support function/helpdesk
- Ownership of all IT Infrastructure documentation/policies/processes BCP, DR, Pen Testing
- Technical input to SOC/ISO certifications Involvement in various due diligence processes from or to 3rd parties
Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with Windows/Linux/Mac OS environments Wide and deep experience with Microsoft 365 – e5 – where most features are in use. Networking knowledge to CCNA level or higher Experience of AWS, including certification General system administration skills – desktops, AV, monitoring tools, PBXs, etc Understanding and experience with the administration of MySQL and PostgreSQL databases (RDS) Ability to automate tasks through POWERSHELL/BASH scripting Hands on experience with Palo Alto Firewalls Experience with Hybrid Active-Directory Domains Experience in setup and management of Microsoft Intune
