Head of IT

I am working on an exclusive role for a scale up profitable technology business in Hamburg who are looking for someone to really support them develop at IT strategy for short/medium and long term including setting up architecture, infra, security and scalability.

You will work alongside a team on and offshore to build a roadmap and really set up a structure and process for the IT team. This will be a hands-off role but naturally staying very close to the technology due to the nature of the role.

Wish list:

• 6+ years of experience in active software development
• Profound experience with technologies from our tech stack (NodeJS | React | AWS | Python) and modern cloud infrastructures
• 3+ years of experience in tech leadership positions (ideally in early-stage startups)
• Experience in building and leading successful tech teams (ideally also with external partners)
• Several years of experience in the application of agile methods (Scrum or Kanban)
• Strong leadership skills to develop a team and lead it to success
• Very good knowledge of English
