About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced Global Sales and Marketing Leader (f / m / d) to join our team. In this role, you will develop an in-depth market and customer understanding and create an ongoing global sales and market growth strategy.

You will lead our global sales, marketing and market development teams and drive initiatives to profitably grow sales and identify and build our market presence in the global pharmaceutical, bioprocessing, and medical device manufacturing markets.

This position offers multiple work arrangements: on-site at one of our various European facilities, hybrid or fully remote work allowed from your home office in most locations within various European countries, depending upon the responsibilities of the role and business needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Create and execute a clear and compelling global sales & market growth strategy for the business across all market segments and product families in alignment with business strategy and product strategy.
  • Develop and drive KPIs for customer, milestones, sales funnel, performance to sales targets. Drive regular review and actions to ensure outcomes are achieved
  • Lead Global Sales Leader and Market Development team members for the current and new / adjacent global pharmaceutical, bioprocessing, and medical device manufacturing markets
  • Drive overall Sales and Market plans and execution to win in the market, resulting in significant sales growth and sustainably achieving growth targets at or above external market growth rate benchmarks
  • Provide effective and regular coaching, challenge and support to Sales leader and associates in Sales and Market Development function to continuously build functional skills, capability and delivering to outcomes
  • Drive and ensure up-to date and relevant data on market trends, customer insights, and competitive landscape are regularly used to validate strategy and investment plans
  • Provide deep market insight based on deep understanding of customer activity cycle, purchase and adoption criteria, and market landscape
  • Partner with business leaders and product specialists to influence the development of product strategies that are informed by our market knowledge
  • Provide direction for market development team(s), generating team energy and alignment toward advancing our new opportunities in the framework of our culture
  • Integrate state-of-the art strategic, digital sales and marketing communications capabilities to maximize business results in alignment with enterprise transformation priorities

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10 years successful leadership experience in leading global Sales in technical and regulated B2B markets
  • Self-motivated, with a start- up mindset and strong execution skills
  • Successful track record of driving substantial sales growth through the sales and market development function at pace
  • Proven track record to drive top line growth in both current product / market space and adjacent product / market space with demonstrated ability to influence across businesses and functions and co-create / implement strategy & execution plans;
  • Demonstrated track record of leveraging deep customer & market insight to expand in current segments and adjacencies with our existing products
  • Strong leadership skills in functional domain; building team and individual accountability to outcomes; coach and mentor others to be successful and address performance issues effectively;
  • Drive and help move decisions at pace in the face of ambiguity
  • Proven strategic thinker - specifically around resourcing and defining the most appropriate sales structure, model and support for the sales and Go-to-Market approach
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills and ability to develop strong working relationships in and across functions
  • Demonstrated good judgment under pressure and ability to resolve problems promptly
  • Understand and support Gore Culture and principles
  • Ability to travel up to 50%, including some international travel

Desired Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated sales success in global pharmaceutical, bioprocessing, and / or medical device manufacturing products and applications
  • Scaling and startup experience
  • Ability to develop and deliver effective customer agreements with multi year joint deliverables across multi-faceted dimensions of mutual interest
