The position
Vultus is developing a world class solution to eliminate waste in farming. We are utilizing modern microservices architecture on cloud computing environment, to deploy our remote sensing and agronomy research finding. As a part of our research oriented development team, scope of this position is to aid in the development and implementation of remote sensing services to farming. The work will allow you to learn and expand skills within the mentioned areas. As a member of the team, you will gain large amounts of freedom, thus, it is important that you have a high quality of work and are comfortable with responsibilities.
Your Responsibilities

  • Develop new satellite remote sensing products for agriculture
  • Adapting remote sensing data to agronomic practices
  • Adjusting Vultus existing services to new crops and use cases
  • Process and handle satellite and GIS data
  • Manage customer requests relating to validation of existing services
  • Converting research findings to overarching development instructions and quality controlling the output of Vultus software team
  • Reporting and documenting research findings for project work and to rest of the team

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in GIS, remote sensing or agronomy
  • Experience in remote sensing for agronomic research
  • Previous exposure to IT, preferably cloud computing and APIs
  • Good written and oral communication skills and a solid understanding of project management
  • The ability to work effectively and efficiently for extended periods of time with limited guidance or direct supervision
