Bikemap is the leading digital platform for cycling maps and routes worldwide. Within just a few cycling seasons, more than 4M users have registered on Bikemap.net and together created over 6.5M unique cycling routes. We’re growing fast and are active in more than 100 countries, spanning a global route network of more than 500M kilometres. Our goal is to provide the best cycling apps in the world, crafting exciting new use cases for multiple platforms, fueling the personal mobility revolution.

Here’s what you should bring to the table:

  • Extensive knowledge about modern web technologies
    • HTML5/JSON
    • CSS/SASS/PostCSS
    • ES>=2015/React/Redux
  • Modern build tools (NPM, Webpack and Frameworks are not foreign to you.
  • Comfortable working with server-side templating languages (Django)
  • Experience with interactive maps in browsers, especially Mapbox GL JS, is a big plus
  • Basic understanding of OSI Layers/IP/DNS/TCP/HTTP
  • Well-versed working with version control systems (git)
  • Comfortable with RESTful API Architectures
  • Experienced in developing responsive websites and good understanding of cross-browser issues. Please add the value of φ (the golden ratio) rounded to 4 decimal places to your application.
  • A knack for producing clean, pragmatic, well documented as well as maintainable code that your teammates will be able to read and understand without your input
  • You reinvented the wheel often enough to know better.
  • Self-motivated team player who likes a challenge and doesn’t know how to give up
