The company are seeking a front end web developer to complete the design and build of the Perlego platform. The role will be primarily involve front end web development in addition to UX design work and concept creation. The span of the role will include design, UX and development work so the ideal candidate will have skills and experience across all areas.
You will be expected to be a flexible team player taking on a variety of design and development activities in the agile team. The ideal candidate will be able to think creatively and work under pressure with attention to detail.
Key responsibilities:
-Research UX concepts with users, gather feedback and drive platform design decisions.
-Programming and creation of the designs conceptualised using web programming skills.
-Refactoring existing front end code written in Javascript, Jquery, CSS on the Platform.
-Testing new and existing code with the Releases.
-Participating in Scrum meetings and agile processes.
-Provide guidance to the technical lead regarding front end web development best practice.
Person Specification:
Education: Degree in a technical or science related field such as Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering:
Experience:
-Experience in designing websites and prototypes soliciting feedback from customers.
-Experience in implementing responsive web design across a range of devices (Mobile, Tablet and Desktop) and cross browser solutions.
-Knowledge and awareness of UX principles and best practice.
-Experience in building interactive websites utilising JavaScript technologies and frameworks inclusive of JQuery and React.
-Familiarity and experience with UI frameworks such as CSS Bootstrap.
-Understanding and familiarity with web security principles
-Ability to work independently or within a team in a fast paced team.
