The Role: User research is the bedrock of ensuring we deliver better services to meet the population's needs. We have to understand human behaviours and diverse perspectives to uncover what we don't know, account for implicit bias and design for inclusivity. What you'll do   As a User Researcher, you will be responsible for: Running user research as part of a team, providing strategic support to embed research and user-centred design as standard practice. Designing and planning research including: problem framing, sample design, recruitment, screeners, test scripts, field guides and process management, culminating in a sound ability to scope a research process and deliver fieldwork. Conducting research using a variety of methods from discovery to hypothesis testing (eg. surveys, user interviews, workshop facilitation, remote user testing, call centre listening, ethnography, sentiment tracking) with stakeholders and end users. Identifying research insights, using analysis and synthesis methods, blending qualitative and quantitative data to create holistic picture of the problem you're trying to solve. Using or prototyping different research stimulus in user / hypothesis testing. Communicating and humanising research outputs to tell a relatable story to stakeholders and citizens. Working with multiple different sources of primary and secondary insight. Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment, balancing business priorities with research needs.
