ESG Team Lead - Platform
Location: 100% remote German-based role
Salary: Up to €105,000 + stock options

Are you passionate about sustainability and ready to make a significant impact in the ESG space?
Our client, an innovative and rapidly growing VC-backed startup headquartered in Germany, is looking to hire a dynamic Team Lead to lead their ESG Platform team.
In this role, you will work with the cross-functional team to bring current and future ESG and sustainability legislation onto the platform, ensuring continuous scalability and automation.
The goal is to continue building the best ESG platform to guide customers through their ESG and sustainability journey.
What will you be doing?
- Lead and inspire a high-performing team, setting clear tasks and goals
- Oversee the entire process of bringing metrics and calculations onto the platform, from research and development to quality assurance and customer feedback
- Develop strategic roadmaps for metric integration, aligned with customer expectations
- Stay updated on evolving ESG standards and regulations - ensuring the platform is up to date for current and future legislation
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to discover innovative technology solutions
What we need?
- Fluent in both German and English is a must
- Strong expertise with key ESG standards or regulations
- Proven background managing leading teams of 4-8 individuals
- At least 4 years of ESG and/or sustainability reporting experience
- Good data analytics experience
- Mission-driven mindset: you care about positively supporting clients to achieve their sustainability goals
- Tech-savvy - as a B2B SaaS business, you need to be comfortable building reports and supporting the customer through their ESG journey via the platform
