Welcome to Tap Electric. Tap is an e-mobility startup based in the heart of Amsterdam, connecting drivers to chargers for seamless car charging.
Our mission is to deliver brilliant driver experience at the intersection of grid and mobility.
The role
To distribute our charger management products, we forge partnerships with charger manufacturers, wholesalers, operators and installers.
We also work directly with property managers, fleets and other businesses. We provide them with an incredibly powerful driver-first platform with a very unique business model.
While we have many well-established partnerships in the UK already, there is a lot more work to do. You will work with the founders to develop a Go-To-Market strategy for the region and then go and execute.
You will approach warm and cold leads, educate them about our products, and nurture those relationships into strong partnerships.
About you:
- You have an entrepreneurial mindset and are always looking for the opportunity in every situation.
- You are an e-mobility enthusiast with a good handle on the complexities of the market.
- You are a people person that thrives on building relationships and getting deals done.
- You want to get your hands dirty and learn the product inside and out.
- You are living in the UK and can travel frequently within the UK, Ireland, and to our head office in Amsterdam.
What you’ll need?
- 3+ years in a similar function, preferably in selling software
- 2+ years in e-mobility, preferably in the UK
- Valid driver’s license
Nice to haves:
- Experience working with different CRM systems and other sales tools
Calling all Tapstronauts
We are looking for an astronaut. Someone who is not scared to take on a ridiculous challenge that to outsiders looks impossible.
You will be building a rocket, midflight, from the inside out and missing half the screws.

A bit more about Tap:
- Tap was founded in late 2020 by two charging software veterans, Nico and Dan, who saw that the charging UX for EV drivers was broken.
- They bootstrapped their way to building 2 key products : a driver app that enables really simple payments on a huge network of chargers; and a platform for charger owners and installers to manage their chargers and collect payments.
