Tremendous new high profile career opportunity for a high calibre, commercially switched on Finance Director with experience within a successful Professional Services B2B environment.
Handl Group is a fast growing and highly successful buy and hold Investor with a dynamic and highly innovative / disruptive culture and approach.
The Group is now establishing specific industry and market-focused Divisional Boards to drive change and profitable expansion.
One of these major new divisions is Health and Wellbeing.
The new Health and Wellbeing Division represents an expanding portfolio of fast growth SME’s within the UK which provide innovative & collaborative Occupational Health, Psychological & Physical Rehab, Medical Assessment and Wellbeing Services selling into an expanding range of Corporate, Medico-Legal, Insurance and Public Sector / Government markets.
The new Divisional Board for this high growth Health and Wellbeing Division will provide hands-on leadership to devise and execute an exciting and challenging growth strategy to maximise profitable growth targets in line with the strategic goals of the overall Handl Group.
This is seen as a great opportunity for an ambitious, driven FD to support the newly appointed Divisional MD to take a collection of complementary autonomous SME businesses and shape them into something exciting as a cohesive, fast growing & disruptive leading presence in the Health and Wellbeing Services market.
Job purpose
This is a highly commercial Senior Finance role to provide proactive business performance management and strategic input for each operating business within this new division to ensure optimal profitable growth & development.
Key duties / responsibilities :
- Reporting directly to the Divisional MD and functionally to the Group CFO, to operate as a key member of the cohesive new Health and Wellbeing Division’s Leadership Team.
- Develop a first class, high performing Finance function across the individual businesses.
- Develop MI / KPI’s to proactively review business performance and to inform key decision-making processes.
- Present individual company and aggregated management accounts with insightful commentary at monthly Board Meeting.
- Ensure optimal performance and profit margins for medium-longer term Health and Wellbeing Service Contracts as well as key involvement in Pricing negotiations for new Tender wins .
- Robust due diligence of potential Acquisition targets.
- Proactively assess from a financial / ROI perspective new business start-up opportunities and other potentially profitable business growth investment initiatives.
- Key point of contact for all professional stakeholders.
- Overall, to play a key role to drive the Division’s profitable & sustainable growth journey in support of the strategic goals and ambitions of the overall Handl Group.
Candidate Profile
Based on the strong commercial / strategic finance emphasis of this key new senior role, candidates must have successfully operated in a similar Professional Services or recurring revenue Service Contract business environment.
Key attributes :
- high calibre, switched on qualified accountant (5 years PQE+) with wider commercial understanding who can clearly demonstrate powerful progression with proven positive business impact in your career to date must already be at a Finance Director level.
- Strong influencing skills, with the confidence and credibility to successfully sell new business initiatives, including a range of Investment opportunities, to senior Divisional colleagues and the Group Exec Team.
- Project Management skills with experience of leading on change business / organisational / systems growth development programmes.
- Experience of B2B Commercial Service Contract negotiations.
- The ability to develop high-performing teams.
- Strong excel and modelling skills.
- Energetic and can do approach, ambitious and keen to make your mark to successfully develop your career with this fast-paced, high growth entrepreneurial Group.
Location : N West desirable - Handl Group has a hybrid working culture with its Group HO based in Chorley, Lancashire.
Salary Package : Highly competitive starting Salary up to £125k, Car allowance, Bonus scheme plus significant LTIP incentive to attract the best candidate for this key new role.
