We exist to provide and support the best palliative and end-of-life care services, treating everyone with kindness, and compassion and giving dignity and comfort to those facing life-limiting conditions.
- The new Director of Finance will play a critical leadership role at Thames Hospice, leading the effective day-to-day financial operational management that fully supports the strategic objectives and operational priorities of the Hospice.
- The Director of Finance will lead a small Finance and IT department in a position that is both strategic and operational.
Key responsibilities will include implementing and developing financial strategies, financial planning, governance, IT, and ensuring the long-term sustainability of the Hospice.
- We are committed to delivering care that is agile and responsive so that we give patients and their families choices about the care they receive.
- We provide the highest quality clinical and therapeutic support within our outstanding CQC-rated hospice and in patients’ homes, supporting the physical, social, and psychological needs of our patients and their loved ones.
- We are seeking a fully qualified accountant with proven experience at a senior level who will offer financial expertise, high standards of governance, commercial acumen and experience leading a finance function of comparable scale.
The ideal candidate will have strong operational finance management experience and can lead the effective day-to-day management of the financial and IT operations.
You will demonstrate emotional intelligence and the empowering leadership approach required to build and develop a high-performing and motivated team.
Critically, you will be an individual who can operate in a challenging healthcare environment and demonstrate a passion and commitment to Thames Hospice’s values and mission.
