Responsibilities
Creating and executing content strategy for all the Methys group entities: daily social media, weekly newsletters, weekly blogs, weekly podcasts, and regular press releases
Creating content for all AfricArena's digital platforms: website, startup portal, AfricArena Wired mobile app (articles, podcasts, weekly Wired newsletters)
Using the designated Brand Guidelines - designing all materials used for communication, and overall brand auditing and ensuring consistency across all communication channels.
Liaising with media on distributing content such as press releases
Playing a key role in authoring qualitative research reports on tech innovation and investment trends in the African ecosystem
Profile:
- Graduated with a Bachelor degree
- 2-3 years of proven experience in writing copy for digital and non-digital
- A successful experience in a similar role in a media, agency or content intensive startup is a must, with a preference with exposure to the technology sector
- Excellent copy-writing skills
- Great interpersonal, presentation and communication skill
- Proficient in G-Suite applications (Docs, sheets, email, and others)
- Proficient in the use of CRMs (MailChimp preferred, but any other credible platforms are considered)
- Very comfortable in updating web and app content through CMS platforms
- Experience in qualitative research.
- Autonomous, organized and ability to manage several parallel projects.
- Passionate about story-telling, community building, networking
