Available, Full-Time, Offices in Cardiff (Wales) & Athens (Greece), Remote Working Available

Hello World! We are beyond excited to secure our first round of investment and are looking for the right people to join our team.

A BIT ABOUT US

We want to make an impact

Tendertec was founded two years ago to tackle two challenges that our societies are facing today: enabling a healthy and active lifestyle and improving the sustainability and efficiency of healthcare.

We are purpose-driven

We are developing the next generation of personalised social and health care technologies that aim to improve people’s lives and safeguard their access to affordable health and care services.

We are a team

We believe that people are Tendertec’s biggest competitive advantage: we are creating a people-first culture and are heavily invested in the success of those who join us in our journey.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Tendertec’s engineering team is growing and so is our company. We are setting up offices in Cardiff, Wales and Athens, Greece and we need a talented self-starter to lead our computer vision development for human tracking and activity recognition.

In our growing engineering team, you’ll work closely with the chief tech and collaborate with our multidisciplinary engineering team, especially the Deep Learning Lead, to drive the implementation and release of major features of our technology. You’ll be a driver for positive change to Tendertec’s team, processes and technology.

The main focus of our engineering team is on thoughtfulness, design thinking and code quality. We value transparency and believe in fostering an inclusive, collaborative, helpful team environment. We're always looking for ways to do better for our customers, the product, and for the team.

THE TEAM

You’ll join a small, rapidly expanding, team of self-starting innovators and problem solvers with support from leading VCs and advisors.

We are a people-first tech company. We consider engineering quality of paramount value and will always look for the most rigorous solution to a problem. As a team, we strive to constantly improve our knowledge of infrastructure and systems, and remove any blockers that may appear. We believe in supporting each of our team members, love to pitch in when problems arise and give great peer feedback to help each other grow.

THE FIT

At Tendertec, we are a bunch of people with different backgrounds, culture and nationalities. That said, there are some characteristics we always look for - self-starters who are agile, responsive, accountable and ready to hit the ground running.

Are you a self-starter with a proven track-record in delivering challenging computer vision projects? Do you have direct experience working on human tracking and activity recognition and do you have appetite for trying out new ideas and innovations.

In this, role you’ll build new ways of detecting and tracking human shape transformation, motion and activity as part of Tendertec’s sensing system. You will be free to run experiments and build prototypes with unique approaches for problems. You will work closely with the Deep Learning Lead to ensure the right data is available for machine learning and will support the design, coordination and building of deep learning contextual data algorithms.

We firmly believe extraordinary people can come from a wide range of places – but we wouldn’t be surprised if the person who gets this role has:

  • Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, an equivalent numerical discipline, or undeniable equivalent practical experience creating and applying successful models to real-life problems and data.
  • 2+ years’ experience with Computer/Machine vision/Real-time video analytics
  • Practical knowledge of OpenCV, MatLab or similar libraries
  • Experience in at least one of C++, Python, Java or similar programming language commonly used in Computer Vision.
  • Experience in building, developing & scaling production quality codes and algorithms
  • Skills in source code management and issue tracking (GitHub, GitLab etc)

Nice to Haves: PhD or research experience in relevant subject, experience with neural networks or deep learning and/or at least one deep learning frameworks such as AWS Rekognition, Tensorflow, Theano, Caffe, Torch, PyTorch etc.

We have been awarded the GE Healthcare “Disruptive Product” Award in December 2018, and have just completed our first funding round.

We are proud to be an equal opportunity workplace committed to building a team culture that celebrates diversity and inclusion. We believe that everyone at Tendertec should have the same opportunity.
