Solution Architect / Operations Specialist (m / f / d)
At the locations Berlin or Eschborn
Your task
- 360 Solutioning : consulting, planning, building and operating highly complex solutions in the areas of Linux and Windows along with virtualization under VMware vSphere or OLVM.
- Creation of technical concepts with and for customers architecture, implementation, security and migration) in compliance with applicable norms and standards.
- Design and responsibility of highly efficient, scalable modes of operation.
- Consistent automation and implementation of a "zero-touch" concept for infrastructure as well as platform services.
- Implementation of application-specific backup & recovery strategies as well as high availability concepts.
- Analysis of current technological trends including advice on potential uses for the GEC.
Your profile
- Completed studies in the field of computer science or in a technically comparable as well as ITIL certification desirable.
- Deep technical understanding of virtualized infrastructures (VMware vSphere, OLVM), container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift) and applications in modern landscapes (microservice architecture).
- Experience with (private) cloud technologies at solution level in IaaS, SaaS or PaaS context respectively.
- Hands-on experience in one or more of the following : Linux (RHEL7 / 8, Ubuntu 20.04), Windows (Windows Server 2012 and above) as well as in the operation of middleware components (Oracle Weblogic, Apache Tomcat) and deployment management.
- Very good knowledge in the construction and operation of complex, highly available environments in the field of Oracle and PostgreSQL databases.
- Experience with configuration management systems (e.g. Ansible, Terraform).
- Understanding of common DevOps approaches, Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and CI / CD.
- Programming or scripting skills in one of the following languages : shell, perl, sql.
- Knowledge of modern backup procedures and solutions (eg Veeam Backup & Replication).
- Basic knowledge in common network topics, protocols and services.
- Very good knowledge of English
